One of my most cherished childhood memories is spending time in my grandfather’s small footwear factory in Western Pomerania, Poland. Surrounded by the smell of leather and rubber, the sound of skilled hands at work, and the care that went into every sole and stitch, I learned early what quality footwear truly means.
My grandfather, Mr. Wladyslaw Szarlowski, was a master shoemaker who believed that well-made shoes could change the way a person moved through the world. His words have stayed with me ever since: “Quality shoes have the power to take you to remarkable heights.”
That belief became the heart of My Tribe Boots — a Sydney-based brand creating soft natural rubber Wellington boots, wellies, gumboots and rain boots with comfort, craftsmanship and purpose at their core.

My Tribe
As I launched My Tribe Boots, I felt a deep sense of pride and nostalgia knowing that my grandfather’s legacy would live on through my work. Some of my earliest memories are of spending time in his small footwear factory in Western Pomerania, Poland, watching him carefully craft and repair shoes and boots by hand. His attention to detail, patience and commitment to quality shaped the way I think about footwear to this day.
His favourite saying, “good shoes will take you to the greatest places,” has stayed with me throughout my life. It is more than a memory — it is the belief behind every pair of My Tribe Boots. I wanted to create waterproof Wellington boots, wellies and gumboots that are not only practical and comfortable, but also stylish, distinctive and made with genuine care.
Thank you, Grandfather, for everything you taught me. I hope My Tribe Boots honours your tradition of craftsmanship, quality and purpose, while bringing it into the modern world through soft natural rubber boots designed for rainy days, muddy paths, country weekends and everyday adventures.

For founder Anna Allison, this journey has always been personal. My Tribe Boots was inspired by the craftsmanship of her grandfather, Mr. Wladyslaw Szarlowski, a Polish shoemaker whose belief in quality footwear continues to guide the brand today.
